  2. 10 Genius Home Cleaning Hacks Who has time to keep their house clean? It’s tough to do life and still handle the mundane tasks around your home. Here are 10 genius home cleaning hacks I found that have helped me save time: I know they’ll help you, too! 1. Clean Your Iron With Paracetamol Admit it: you’ve burnt something with an iron at least once. And once you do, the burn stays on the soleplate – the bottom of the iron – and transfers to all your clothes. I’? always ironing in a hurry, so my iron looked horrible before I discovered this paracetamol trick. Simply plug your iron in and reduce the heat, then hold a paracetamol tablet with tongs or crush it and rub the iron against it. Wipe the iron with a piece of dry cloth to remove the burn marks. Be careful not to burn yourself! WWW.GSRCLEANING.COM.AU

  3. 10 Genius Home Cleaning Hacks 2. Clean Stainless Steel Appliances With Vinegar And Olive Oil You need a spray bottle, a piece of cloth, white vinegar and olive oil. Spray the vinegar generously onto spills and smudges, then wipe off with the cloth. If the stain is stubborn, change direction – most spills have a ?directio?? like the grain in wood, and wiping in the same direction removes them better. Finally, rub a little olive oil on the cloth and polish the appliance to give it a shine. Note that you can use any kind of cooking oil in the place of olive oil. 3. Use Sticky Tape To Collect Crumbs If you do?’t have one of those mini-vacuums, collecting crumbs can be difficult. Wrap sticky tape around your fingers and lightly dab crumbs on the floor or surfaces. Be careful not to press too hard because the tape can stick to the surface. The same method works for lint and pet hair on clothes! WWW.GSRCLEANING.COM.AU

Pumice works wonders on porcelain surfaces because it’s tough enough to remove deposits but not hard enough to scratch the surface. 5. Remove Hard Water Stains With Vinegar And Baking Soda Make a paste of baking soda and vinegar, then smear it all over the encrusted surface and leave it for about 15 minutes. Scrub and rinse with plenty of water. Remember to dry the surface to avoid more water settling again; if you leave it to dry by itself, limescale will form again. You can also do this with lemon juice: cut a lemon in two and gently rub it on the surface, rinse with water and wipe with a dry cloth. WWW.GSRCLEANING.COM.AU

Clean Your Blender By Blending Water And Soap Cleaning your blender can be one of the most annoying – and potentially risky – tasks: it’s especially hard to clean the blades. Pour water and soap into the appliance and switch it on. The blender will clean itself. After blending the soapy water for a while, pour it out and rinse with plenty of clean water. 7. Using Toilet Paper Tubes To Make A Custom Fit Nozzle For The Vacuum The nozzle that comes with your vacuum is too big or the wrong shape for tiny corners and enclosed spaces. Take a toilet paper tube and fit it to your vacuum nozzle; fold it to fit the corner or space and vacuum away! WWW.GSRCLEANING.COM.AU

Use Baking Soda, Aluminium Foil, And Hot Water To Clean Tarnished Silverware Bring a good amount of water to the boil and add the baking soda and a crumpled piece of aluminium foil. Take your tarnished silverware (forks, spoons, knives) and place them in the hot water – use tongs to avoid splashes. Leave them to soak for a few minutes, while the tarnish transfers to the aluminium foil, then rinse them under running water. Dry and polish with a soft cloth. 9. Cut Through Burnt-On Oven Grease With Baking Soda And Vinegar Make a mixture of baking soda in a spray bottle, spray it on the burnt-on oven grease and leave it to soak for a few minutes. Wipe it off and spray vinegar on the surface before wiping again with a clean cloth. WWW.GSRCLEANING.COM.AU

  7. 10 Genius Home Cleaning Hacks 10. Use Vinegar To Descale Your Kettle Take half a cup of vinegar and pour it in your kettle, add some water and bring it to the boil. Be careful not to put too much water in: vinegar water is much more ?e?thusiastic? than plain water, so if you fill more than about half-way, it’ll bubble out all over the place when it boils! Empty the kettle afterwards and rinse thoroughly with clean water. What other hacks do you have that we can add to our bag of tricks to make cleaning a breeze? Share them in the comments!
