  2. Today’s Agenda • Deferrals • State Army National Guard and Federal Army National Guard Award Notification • Billing Process

Deferrals • Deferrals are when the college defers payment for a student because they have a sponsor paying all or part of their charges. • Types of sponsors include employers, unions or other organizations. • Once Student Accounts is notified, deferred amounts are entered on to the student’s FA record and show as pending aid on their Account Summary.

  4. State Army National Guard Deferral Notification • Notified via a roster • Award is tuition only • Federal Awards (ex. Chap. 33) are applied before State National Guard • TAP is applied to tuition before State National Guard

  5. State Army National Guard • Once the Federal Awards and TAP are applied, the State National Guard deferral is determined and applied to the student’s account • After aid is in place, the student is responsible any remaining charges in order to maintain their enrollment

  6. Federal Army National Guard Deferral Notification • Notified via a voucher • Deferral amount may or may not include fees • Federal Army National Guard is applied first, may result in a reduction of TAP • After aid is in place, the student is responsible any remaining charges in order to maintain their enrollment

  7. Billing • After day 29 of the term, we invoice • State National Guard: submit roster • National Guard: submit voucher
