  2. In the last 30 days we received • 235 alarms (i.e. 8 every day) • Desktops – 4 every day • Servers – 2 every day • Exchange – one every day • Misc – one every day • 25 SMS – means critical network failure

  3. Failures • Servers failed 8 times • Every time it takes up to 20 minutes to fix the issue • Exchange failed twice • 80 users affected if exchange fails • 30 mins required to fix exchange • File server failed once due to low disc space • No body (other than us) was aware of this for at least 4 days

  4. WAN monitoring • 12th Sep – 2Mbps Internet uplink was down from 11pm-5AM the next day • Filed a complaint with MCI and also got a full one month fee waiver for this outage • Fee waiver worth $2500 for the month of Sep
