  2. CMC Blog Responses • We will continue to use the blogs for our final novel. They must be posted by 9 pm on due date. NO LATE POSTS! • Weekly Requirements: • 2 original blogs per week with CITED TEXTUAL EVIDENCE (paragraph-length) • 1 response to a classmate’s blog • 1 response to the other honor’s class blog • Responses to peers must be from different topics • 1 Tweet with at least 1 hashtag

  3. Sample Topics for Post #1 • Blog Topic #1: CharacterizationGive a deep characterization analysis of AbbeFaria. Think about his motivations, purpose, and how he might drive the theme (which means you need to think about possible themes!). • Blog Topic #2: ThemeWhat do you think will be a significant theme of the novel? Cite your reasons why from the text. • Blog Topic #3: Essential Question“The funny thing is - on the outside, I was an honest man, straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook” (Stephen King, “Rita Heyworth and the Shawshank Redemption”). Is crime ever justifiable? If yes, in what circumstances? If no, how should someone in Edmond’s position make peace with his situation? • Twitter:Put yourself in Edmond's shoes. What would you do?
