On August 26, 2010, ESB Networks implemented interim arrangements for microgeneration customers, producing a dedicated tariff under ESBCS. This solution aims to support technology trials by providing export data to BGE. Proposed new rules include a weekly process for managing export and import registrations with the same supplier, ensuring timely delivery of export data via encrypted email. These interim measures are designed to facilitate data sharing without altering the Central Market System, while long-term solutions will emerge from ongoing CER consultations on smart metering.
