  2. 15 Talks • Fifteen talks are given – ten by laypersons and five by clergy • A well-constructed educational format is enhanced by personal witness from the speakers.

  3. Prayer • The underpinning of the entire weekend is prayer.

  4. Singing • Lively music – traditional and contemporary – sung with great feeling.

  5. Holy Communion • In almost every secretariat, daily celebration of the Eucharist is practiced.

  6. Good Eating!! • Wonderful food • Plenty of it

  7. Worship • Participatory worship is often the highlight of a new pilgrim’s weekend experience.

  8. Good Fellowship • New friendships are cultivated – friendships that often can last a lifetime.

  9. Recreation • In different areas of the country, different options are provided: volleyball, basketball, walks, etc.

  10. 15 Talks • On a Via de Cristo weekend, we hear the speaker, then we discuss what we heard, and then we commit the essence of the talk to artistic masterpieces.
