Chapter 3 – Cardiovascular Diseases • The term cardiovascular diseases is used here to mean: • Diseases and congenital malformations of the circulatory system as coded in the ICD. • Coronary heart disease • Heart failure • Cardiomyopathy • Atrial fibrillation • Cerebrovascular disease (stroke) • Hypertensive disease • Peripheral artery disease • Congenital malformations of the circulatory system
