CLIL The acronym CLIL is used as a generic term to describe all types of provision in which a second language (a foreign, regional of minority language and/or another official state language) is used to teach certain subjects in the curriculum other than language lessons themselves. CLIL-methodology • a specific methodology is required • it needs to serve two aims: • aims of the subject curriculum • aims of the foreign language curriculum The content is learned through the language and the language is learned through the content!
