Tips To Fix If Access is Denied on Window 10: Take Ownership of Directory: For this, first you have to find the problematic folder and then right-click on it and then from the menu, select Properties. After this, you should visit to the Security tab and then tap on advanced button. Now, you should find the Owner section which is located at the top and then tap on Change option. At this point, you need to Select User or Group window will display on your screen. In this Window, in the Enter the object name to select field, you need to enter Administrators name. For this, you need to start Command Prompt as administrator and then enter the lines: takeown /f “path_to_folder” /r /d y icacls “path_to_folder” /grant administrators:F /T Add your Account to Administrators Group: You need to hit on Windows Key + X altogether just to open Win + X menu. Now, you should select Computer Management from the list. If Computer Management window opens up on your screen, then go to Local Users and Groups and then click on Users. Here, you should double tap on your account which is located in the left side. At this point, you should visit to the Member Of tab and then tap on the Add button. Then in Enter the object names to select field, you need to enter Administrators and then tap on Check Names and then hit on OK button. After this, you should choose Administrators and then hit on Apply and OK option. Lastly, restart your PC and then verify if the issue is solved.
