  3. Belgium This picture was taken at the “Grand’Place” in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. The famous flower carpet is a sight to behold. Below is little Manneken-Pis. He is the claim to fame for Brussels. It was amazing to see the crowd gathered around him. Every month a different group of people dress him up. Strange!!!! My daughter and husband were stationed in Brussels for 3 years with NATO. I was able to spend a month with her and got to see many beautiful and historic sites.

  4. Germany Below: We stayed in this hotel in Triberg, which is in the Black Forest in Germany. We did eat some of the famous cake, too! Above: I took this picture from our hotel looking down on the city of Heidelberg. It was so cool on this summer day. Much different than my Texas summers!

  5. France The Eiffel Tower in Paris was a great experience. Below, is a view of the Seine River from the top of the tower.

  6. England While in London we visited Buckingham Palace and watched the changing of the guards.

  7. Holland Holland is my favorite country in Europe. It is beautiful! I love windmills and tulips, so I was in my element! Above: This is my daughter in front of the “klompenmakerij” the woodenshoe workshop. Of course we both bought some wooden shoes!
