  2. PWGSC-AB contracted an average 19,000 documents valued at $6.9B on behalf of DND over the last five years. SME accounted for 68% of DND’s business volume and 36% of business value over the last five fiscal years. Foreign suppliers accounted for 17% of DND’s business volume and 24% of the department business value over the last five years. The top 15 commodities represent 40% of the total business volume for DND in the last five years. Based on the contract value, 56% of contracts are tendered to firms located in Quebec and Ontario.
