  10. Rogers R.E.S.P.E.C.T Procedures • For everything else we have procedures • If we cannot following them, it means we need more practice….. • These allow the class to flow in an organized way

  11. 1st 5 min of Class • Come in quietly • Place homework in your periods homework tray on the counter (when applicable) • Get in your assigned seat • Quietly begin working on “This Day in History” when the bell rings

  12. Tardies • If you are not in your seat when the bell rings you are considered tardy. • Please have your planners ready for me to sign. If you do not have your planner you will be sent to SSO. • In your planners are the consequences for future tardies. • You are allowed 15 per quarter. That means total for all classes! • If you misplace your planner you can buy a new one from the bookkeeper for $2.00 • If you come in late, please be quiet, respectful to your classmates and teacher and go directly to your seat.

  13. Assignments • Place any homework assignment in your class periods tray on the counter. • I will collect your class work from each unit, and “This Day in History” Journal on the day of the unit exam. • Pick up graded homework from the file, marked with your class period, on the counter.

  14. Late Work & Due Dates • All assignments are due on the due date! Failure to complete assignments on time will result in a lower grade. • Panther Deadline – students will have ALL work (including test and quizzes) completed, and turned in no later than 3 weeks after the deadline. Mr. Rogers will place an “I” or an “M” in Infinite Campus until the 3 week deadline. All late work will earn a maximum of 70% of the possible grade. At the end of the 3 week deadline, students will earn a 0 for any missing assignment(s).

  15. Technology in Class Please do not use any unauthorized technology during class time! • NVHS new school wide policy is absolutely no visible technology at any time in the class. • If I see it I must take it! I will give it to SSO. (NO EXCEPTIONS!)

  16. Out of Seat • Do not leave your seat unless you are given permission. If you need to sharpen your pencil hold it up and I will let you go ahead. Always bring additional materials just in case.

  17. Bathroom Breaks • Cross your fingers signaling you have to use the bathroom. Please DO NOT interrupt during lecture and do not call my name out. I will see it and you may go at my discretion. • Make sure you have your planner and ID to use the restroom and sign out by the door. • 10 & 10 RULE – You may not have a pass the 1st 10 minutes, or the last 10 minutes of class.

  19. Fist to Five When I ask “Fist to Five” you will need to… • Close your eyes • Raise a (fist)or 1-5 fingers in the air. • Base your response on how well you know the information I’m asking for. I do this to “check for your understanding” How to.. • A fist means “No idea” • 1 means very little • 5 means almost everything

  20. Dismissal from class • Please stay seated at your desk until I dismiss you (not the bell). • When you are dismissed push your chairs in and return any and all class materials.
