You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. (James 4:2-3)

  9. DANIEL REMAINS FAITHFUL(vv.10-18) • We also have our own blessings in our lion’s den as a Christians • “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.(Matthew 5:10) • “But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.” (1 Peter 3:14)

  10. THE RESULT OF GOD’S WORK (vv.19-28) • The king went to the Lion’s Den because he was concern about Daniel. (vv. 19-20) • Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. (1 Peter 1:19)

  11. THE RESULT OF GOD’S WORK (vv.19-28) • God’s power over the animals. (v.22) • God shut the mouth of the Lion’s mouth in order to save Daniel. (v.22) • Behold, I [am] the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27) • For with God nothing shall be impossible (Lk.1:37)

  12. THE RESULT OF GOD’S WORK (vv.19-28) • In the end, the king acknowledged the God of Daniel!! (vv.25-27) • King Darius spread the power of God to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth. (v.25) • King Darius declared that the God of Daniel is the living God and eternal God. (v.26) • King Darius declared that the God of Daniel is able to rescue everyone. (v.27)

  13. THE RESULT OF GOD’S WORK (vv.19-28) • Whatever we do, we must glorify God!! • “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31) • “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”(Matthew 5:16)

  14. CONCLUSION • As Daniel’s faith was tested, we can also be tested • But even we are being tested; we must always remain faithful to God • And the result must always be the acknowledging of the glory and honour and power of God! Amen!
