Primary areas being addressed for the Third Edition: • Accumulator Functional Volume Requirements (FVR) will include new performance criteria. • FMEA requirements for new designs. • Minimum design standards & approvals for hazardous atmosphere components. • Establish specific requirements for alarm functions and operation. Specification 16D

  4. Primary areas being addressed for the Third Edition: • Establish baseline requirements for Graphical User Interfaces. • Update welding specifications. • Align the specification with the requirements of Standard 53 & Recommended Practice 64. Specification 16D

  5. Document content being finalized Q1 2014. • Target date for release to API is 2nd quarter of 2014. Specification 16D
