  2. Introduction The Earth experienced gradual temperature changes throughout millions of years yet recent periods show the fastest temperature increase the planet has experienced. Listening to news reports about climate change and global warming does not reveal their specific effects on our planet. The analysis of historical temperature shifts alongside projections about upcoming changes helps us grasp the main importance of these events.

  3. Temperature fluctuations Temperature fluctuations over extensive periods represent a normal natural process for Earth. Throughout history the planet experienced alternating intervals of ice ages and non-ice age periods which occurred thousands of years ago. The Earth experienced gradual shifts which nature created through volcanic activity along with Earth orbital variations and solar influence. The natural changes occurred during thousands of years whereas the current changes take only a few decades.

  4. Recent years have been much hotter A warming trend emerged in the world during the late 1800s. The Earth has experienced more than 1 degree Celsius rise on average according to scientists. Small temperature fluctuations produce significant effects although the change in Celsius only reaches 1 degree.

Past and future global temperatures, temperature increases up to 2-4 degrees Fahrenheit during this century will result in severe weather patterns while creating fiercer storms coupled with devastating effects People who live near the ocean risk sustaining house damage from increased water heights. Extremes of climate change may diminish food sources and drinking water availability in particular areas. Experts state that controlling temperature increase effectively should be a priority.

  7. Conclusion The world experiences its fastest temperature increase at present and this change touches all populations regardless of their geographical location. Historical evidence demonstrates that Earth undergoes past and future global temperatures changes yet modern society possesses the capability to direct future transformations.
