  1. When We Wake By Karen Healey

  2. Summary Sixteen-year-old Teganis like many other girls living in 2027. But on the best day of her life, she is shot. 100 years later, she wakes up in a government facility with no idea what happened. The future isn’t what she had hoped for, and she must decide how to live her new life.

  3. Response – Soap Carving I made a soap carving that had musical symbols on it because Tegan plays the guitar, and music is an important part of her life.

  4. Exploration – Questions for Authors Using Goodreads, I was able to ask a few authors some questions. Laurie Halse Anderson and Gayle Forman replied.

  5. Laurie Halse Anderson Me: Will Ashes be the last book in the Seeds of America series? Laurie Halse Anderson: Excellent question, but I don't have the answer! I love American history, so I guess I need to think about what other stories I want to tell. Do you have a suggestion for a time period or milestone in American history?

  6. Other Authors Gayle Forman, the author of If I Stay, replied, but her answer was unrelated. I also had questions for James Patterson, Holly Black, and Sarah Dessen.

  7. Summer Reading #1 What’s Left of Me by Kat Zhang – This is about people that have two souls. I want to read it because I read the summary and found it interesting.

  8. Summer Reading #2 City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare – This is about teenagers who are half human half angel. I want to read it because I have read the other books in the series.

  9. Summer Reading #3 Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods by Rick Riordan – This is about Greek mythology. I want to read it because it is written by one of my favorite authors.

  10. Summer Reading #4 Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan – This is about a girl who has always been able to talk to somebody else in her head. I want to read it because it was recommended to me.

  11. Summer Reading #5 If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch – This is about a girl who was abandoned in a national park by her mother. I want to read it because it seems interesting.
