24. work expectations consequences When students choose not to meet the Classroom Behavioral Expectations (see pg 3), they can expect the following consequences: 1. Verbal warning Citation (to be signed by parent) 8th Period Detention (Parents notified at least 24 hours in advance of a student’s detention. Citizenship grade will be changed to “N”). 4. Parental Contact by Phone or Email Referral to Assistant Principal Citizenship grades are letter grades (O, S, N, U) reflective of student behavior in the class. These grades are documented on the progress reports every six weeks. • Homework is usually given Monday – Thursday, with a break for the weekend. • All classwork and homework assignments should be written in pencil or standard blue or black ink and include an MLA heading. • If a student shows a pattern of not completing homework assignments, the following consequences will apply. • The student’s agenda will be stamped and the student will be given a detention period with teacher to finish the work. Parental contact will occur via phone or email. • Repeat offenders (5 missing homework assignments in a month’s time) will receive an 8th period detention to complete the work.
