C-REEMS Overview • C-REEMS Features: • Existing government-owned solution • Currently supports 50% USDA’s applications & 22% USDA’s awards • End-to-end grants data system • Agency grants budget and funds management • Proposal management • Programmatic review – internal and external • Proposal recommendation and award • Funds authorization, payment, and draw-downs (with DHHS Payment Management System) • Reporting – Ad hoc and canned

C-REEMS Overview • C-REEMS Features: • End-to-end grants data system (cont’d) • Extensive data and rules validation • Manages CSREES’ entire $1 billion assistance budget (grants, cooperative agreements, formula funds) • Contains: • 80,000 proposal records • 6,700 active AORs, 36,000 Project Directors from more than 500 institutions • 50,000 potential proposal reviewers • 650,000 funds draw-down transactions

  7. C-REEMS Overview • C-REEMS Features: • End-to-end grants data system (cont’d) • Oracle 8i database, Oracle 9i Application Server • Currently 136 tables, 172 screens, 144 reports • Currently client/server (expect browser-based in fall 2002)
