NOTE: THERE IS A SLIDE FOR RECORDING YOUR ALL DAY/SPRING SEMINAR INFORMATION WHICH SHOULD BE USED IN LIEU OF THAT MONTLHY SLIDE. Keep it at a HIGH LEVEL SUMMARY. For your chapter presentation, select the THREE slides you want to share with the group : a challenge, a success and a Board choice. You will only have 20 minutes to present/answer questions. Please limit pictures within the PPT – sizes can cause difficulties of PPT transport through email.

Chapter Membership • 2009-2010 Chapter President: Tracy Smith • # of Members – Beginning of Year: 18 • Current # of Members: 19 • Chapter Size Category: Small • Membership Goal for 2009-2010: 20 • Recruiting and Contacting – methods: Invited members from the 099 list, past seminar participants, past meeting invitees, chamber list members, etc. to the seminar and our 25th Anniversary Celebration. Sent seminar brochure – no additional contacting. Mentioned applications and ARMA membership benefits at the seminar. • Chapter volunteers – recruiting, involvement (activities): none (BOD) • What months and day of the month do you hold educational meetings: Second Tuesday of every month (noon) • Methods of communicating with members: Starting using Outlook Calendar invites for monthly meetings – works well!

Board of Directors • # of Members: 6 • Types of Positions: • Elected Officials: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Board of Director/Outgoing President, and Board Member at Large) • Appointed Officials: N/A • Meetings (how often and method i.e. in person, conference calls): Once/month – First Thursday of each month – in person • What was Good about your BOD: Have a diverse background (Vendors, Government, and Utilities), willing to do what takes to keep chapter going. • What Challenges did your BOD face: Getting new volunteers for the BOD, and new members. • Board Transition of Members – at end of year:2 year terms (will transition in July 2011). • Recruiting/Succession planning methods: same BOD for years.

Good, Challenging & Different • What went really good this year (1 to 3 examples): • We were able to bring in Nick DeLaurentis to teach us about the GARP principles, and Chris Flynn to discuss Cloud Computing. • We changed the meeting day (from Thursday to Tuesday, based on survey results) and used MS Outlook to invite members. This seemed to increase meeting attendance. • Used survey results to help with program development • Have a couple of members that come over 200+ miles for our annual golf event. • What really challenged the Board and/or Chapter this year (1 to 3 examples): • Educational Program development to entice members • Newsletter! (only had 1 all year – August, typically every other month) • Thinking back what would the BOD or could the BOD have done different or would try next time? (1 to 3 examples): • Earlier planning for programs and seminar
