Timeline Leading to Development of the Beachside Sewer System – Phase I • October 2003 – Using Series 2003 Revenue Bonds, City acquired assets of Palm Coast Utility System from Florida Water Services including the utility “service area” • July 2004 – McKim and Creed completed the “Beachside Master Plan” • January 2005 – Issued a Work Order to McKim and Creed to complete design of Beachside Master Pump Station and Force Main • February 2006 – Purchased property on A-1-A for the Master Pump Station site • December 2006 – City issued Series 2007 Revenue Bonds which included funds to construct Beachside Sewer System • October 2009 – Flagler County decided to abandon plans to construct Beverly Beach wastewater plant, instead connect to Palm Coast • November 2009 – Concept was presented to City Council • November 2009 – An easement to cross the intracoastal waterway was obtained from the Dunes Community Development District • February 2010 – First draft of an Interlocal Agreement between Palm Coast and Flagler was prepared by City staff • 2011–2012 – Beachside Sewer System is on the City council Goals and Objectives and shown as a “High Priority” project. • June 2012 – City Council approved the Interlocal Agreement with Flagler County
