February 14, 2011 Voice “Moby Dick is a Whale” Day 3 inspired • How would you characterize the author’s voice in this essay? • Highlight or circle phrases that convey this voice. • Why might the author have chosen this voice? “bounteous feeling,” “awe-inspiring,” “rich in reverie” The author is stating the many excellent qualities of the book, so an inspired voice is appropriate for the subject

Student Goals Write final draft. • Add page numbers after quotations using MLA format. • Have a classmate revise and proofread using the Review tools! • Save your final draft in the shared folder. • Load to your wiki page. • Print a clean copy. Work on Vocabulary Brochure. Prepare genre project by finding quotations that support attribute.
