SCO HA Clusters Requirements • A minimum of two (Max 5) servers running either: • OpenServer 6 Enterprise with Maintenance Pack 2(MP2) or later • UnixWare 7.1.4 with Maintenance Pack 3 (MP3) and ptf9052 or later • Two Network Interfaces per server • One is used for the Server IP and at least one IP alias • One is used for the heartbeat (can also use serial for heartbeat)

SCO HA Clusters Requirements • A minimum of Seven IP addresses: • Primary Server IP address (net0) • Primary Server Heartbeat IP address (net1) • Primary Active (virtual) IP switched to job IP on takeover/failover • Standby Server IP address (net0) • Standby Server Heartbeat IP address (net1) • Standby Active (virtual) IP switched to job IP on takeover/failover • Job Active (virtual) IP (This is the IP for public access to the job/app)

SCO HA Cluster Features • SCO HA Clusters is a High Availability Solution providing: • Fault Detection on • Network Interfaces • Disks • Individual Process/Jobs/Applications • Java and Web based graphical configuration tool • It is simpler to use and administer than Reliant HA • Java and Web based Administration tools • SNMP support

SCO HA Clusters Licensing • SCO HA Cluster Licenses are sold “per node” • SCO HA Clusters Packs have 3 components • An SCO HA Clusters 1 CPU License • A Cluster User License • An Operating System License or Operating System Upgrade License • SCO HA Clusters License is licensed per Active Physical CPU • Cluster User Licenses • Can be installed on each node on the system • Cannot be mixed with “traditional” user licenses • Customers can trade in “traditional” user licenses for Cluster User Licenses

SCO HA Clusters Installation • Before you install: • For OpenServer 6 ensure that MP2 is installed • For UnixWare 7.1.4 ensure that MP3 and PTF9052 are installed • To install from the pkg format image: • pkgadd –d /var/spool/pkg/hacs_1.0.pkg hacs • To install from CD: • pkgadd –d cdrom1 hacs • Apply your SCO HA Clusters License to the system using: • scoadmin license manager • Reboot the system using: • Shutdown –y –g0 –i6
