  • Knowledge – the characteristic of not only wanting to know the hard facts about a situation or about a certain culture but also wanting to know something about the feelings of the other person (Ibid, p.7)

  • Adaptability – describes the ability to adapt one’s behavior and one’s style of communication (Ibid, p.7)
