Update on ISO 362-1 Following 3-Year Review - GRB Meeting (Feb 2011)

This document presents an update on ISO 362-1, based on the three-year review conducted by WG42, as discussed in the 53rd GRB meeting held from February 15 to 17, 2011. The review incorporates feedback from ISO national member bodies and comments from the EU Venoliva report. Key proposed changes include clarifications of intent, additional informative annexes with flowcharts, and the incorporation of new technical information related to the testing of hybrid vehicles. Feedback from GRB members is solicited to refine these proposals.

Process • ISO reviews all new International Standards after 3 years. • WG42 has undertaken the review of ISO 362-1 based on the official comments from the ISO national member bodies, as well as to consider the comments from the EU Venoliva report. • This presentation is to inform GRB of the proposed changes and to allow GRB to comment and provide its opinion on these proposals.

  3. Principles of Review • Clarification of intent where multiple interpretations were observed. • Additional informative Annex flowcharts to assist users of the standard. • Incorporation of new technical information to clarify testing of vehicles with multiple propulsion sources (hybrids)
