Wiki Content Organization • Pages in wiki are classified by many domains • Each domain can contain a lot of pages • Identifier of a page is <domain>:<term(s)> • The page can be accessed by type an address • Ex: csc.hcmiu.edu.vn/btwiki/index.php/Help:Content
Wiki Content Organization • When you access to a page by typing address, there are two cases happening • If the page exists, it will be displayed in browser • If the page does not exist, a notification screen will be display as follows:
Wiki Content Organization In the case of page does not exist, the “Page” menu can help you create new one or just simply follow hyperlink on notification paragraph. List of built-in domains are here or simply choose menu “Navigations/Help” If you want to create new domain, just put the domain name on address bar

Features for Users “vdkhoi” is username. It is a page like public user’s profile. It can be accessed by User:<username> “My talk” is a page like a wall. Everybody can leave message on there. It can be accessed by User_talk:<username> “My references” : for your configuration options
Features of Users My watchlist: the pages that you want to keep watching on changes. My contribution: your pages Help Admin is Help:Admin Help User is Help:User
Page Manipulations User page: User:<username> Discussion: discuss about a page. It is User_talk:<username> Edit: add new discussion topic History: logs of the current page Move: move to another domain. Protect: block page from users’ editing Watch: add current page to watching list
Tool box Upload file: use to upload a file resource Normally we don’t need to use other tools. Remember that wiki’s menu is context-sensitive. That means the items in menu list are depended on current page.
Navigations Main page: main page of wiki Community portal: to the IU_WikiTEACH main page Current events: a page to announce current event happening on wiki Recent changes: all changes on logs file

Formatting content • Use special syntax, called wiki syntax to edit page. We will talk about: • Creating topics • Creating lists • Creating tables • Create link • Signatures

Blogs With domain blog, wiki system will display as blog Using Blog:<username> for personal blogs Other users can comment on one’s blogs
Built-in terms All pages of domain “Special” are feature pages of wiki. If you need to statistic or do something out of menu scope, you can find it out from Special domain
