Attitude and Tone: Positive or Negative • ประโยคที่อ่านอาจเป็นไปในทางบวก (positive) หรือลบ (negative) ก็ได้ • หากผู้เขียนเขียนถึงสิ่งดีๆ สวยงาม มีประโยชน์ ประโยคนั้นจะสื่อไปในทางบวก หากหากผู้เขียนเขียนถึงสิ่งไม่ดี บกพร่อง ราคาแพงประโยคนั้นจะสื่อไปในทางลบ • แต่หากอ่านแล้วไม่สื่อเป็นไปในทางบวก (positive) หรือลบ (negative) แสดงว่าประโยคนั้นไม่บวกหรือลบ คือ เป็นกลาง (neutral)
