  2. Possible disadvantages to using technology in the classroom • Potential of Online Risk. • Isn't 100% reliable and teachers struggle to get consistent results (hard to create effective learning environment). • Provides more opportunity for academic dishonesty • Makes students feel more overwhelmed than when in a traditional classroom. • Provides a distraction for students so they don’t focus as much. • Hurts communication skills (relying on technology instead of verbal skills).

  3. *Disadvantage #1 • Isn't 100% reliable and teachers struggle to get consistent results (hard to create effective learning environment).

  4. *Disadvantage #2 • Provides more opportunity for academic dishonesty.

  5. *Disadvantage #3 • Potential of Online Risk.

  6. Potential advantages of using technology in the classroom • Helps second language students (because Spanish is becoming new popular language). • Makes classrooms more organized. • Improves quality of teaching and learning. • Improves educational methods and delivery. • Makes class more exciting and engaging for students. • Helps children complete difficult homework related tasks more quickly and with more ease. • Improves achievement of students (gives them more than a book to use). • Adaptable to all learning levels. • Makes students more self reliant (ex: teachers teach how to use something and then stand back and watch the kids figure out and become proficient at using it). • Prepares students for the future ( technology is what these kids grew up with and it is the future).

  7. * Advantage #1 • Makes class more exciting and engaging for students.

  8. *Advantage #2 • Improves achievement of students (gives them more than a book to use).

  9. *Advantage #3 • Prepares students for the future ( technology is what these kids grew up with and it is the future).
