  4. Case 2 AM is an l8-year-old female student. She sustained a complete rupture of her left Achilles tendon 6 weeks ago while playing basketball, and the tendon was surgically repaired two weeks later. Her leg was in a cast which was removed yesterday. The objective exam reveals mild swelling, tenderness, and redness in the area of the surgical repair, restricted dorsiflexion ROM and atrophy of the calf muscles on the left leg.

  5. Case 3 IR is a 25-year-old female with psoriasis .She has plaques covering areas on the dorsal aspects of both elbows and covering areas on the anterior aspects of both knees. This patient presents with impairments of skin integrity and cosmosis as well as abnormal, uncomfortable sensation o f itching. The poor cosmesis has resulted in her always wearing clothing that covers her elbows and knees.

  6. Case 4 MS is a 50-year-old female. She has been diagnosed with cervical spondylosis and has been referred to physical therapy. She complains of cervical pain and muscle spasm. The objective exam reveals restricted cervical active and passive range of motion.

BD has poor arterial circulation in her distal lower extremities, but her physician has determined that she is not a candidate for lower extremity bypass surgery. Sensation is impaired distal to the patient's knees and is intact proximal to the knees.
