  2. Root Canal • Process of removing the infected pulp tissue within the tooth • Pulp is commonly referred to as the nerve of the tooth

  3. Why does the pulp need to be removed? • It is essential to remove the pulp • The bacteria will begin to multiply within the pulp chamber • This bacteria causes infection • Swelling may spread to other areas of the face,neck • Bone loss

  9. 4.Closing Out • Sealing the tooth to protect from the pain • A filling is placed over the access hole
