  2. ePubs – Self-made Content • On your iPad, go to this site: • http://instech.knoxschools.org • Navigate to the page on ePubs • Click on “Mozambique: Tete and Manica” • Click “Open in iBooks” • Take a few minutes to look over the book.

  3. Using Pages to create an ePub • Begin with a blank document. • Create a title page by typing in a title and your name. • From the top menu, click insert > page break • Type your prose • Add images using the media button.

  4. Be sure all images are “inline” • Highlight image • Click the inspector • In the inspector pane, choose wrap • Be sure that Object Placement is inline (moves with text) • You can wrap the image as needed • Tip: Select one image and then use Command – A. This selects all. Now mark images as inline.

  5. Share to ePub • Click Share > Export • Choose ePub • Edit title • Edit author • Pick a Genre • Click Next…

  6. Watch for warnings about floaters Go back and find the floaters and get them inline!

  7. One more screen and publish! • You will have a chance to change the title of the file you are saving. This is not the metadata for the book.
