CHARGING STATION: PLACE We need to find a place in our High School without the possibility of thefts, considering the weather, the long discharges and the easiness to park. 3/12

CHARGING STATION: SPACE • Students of 4ºESO (15-16 years old) made the electronical controllers. These controllers change the tension from 12-20V DC in the solar panels to 12V DC in the wall lamps. • We don´t need batteries since it´s a direct load, we take electricity directly from the Sun. • Students made also a solar • switch which cut the conventional • electricity. 9/12
CHARGING STATION: LIMITATIONS • The battery load current must not be over 10% of maximum I and it depends on the capacity of the battery. • The type of batteries (Pb, NiCd, ions Li…) have different individual cell voltage. • Commercial battery chargers do special “tasks” in the battery cells, such as equalizing and getting rid of sulphates. • We design the charging station as a place which avoids the long discharges and which complementates the charging station the user has at home. 10/12
