  2. Challenge! • Build a mobile robot capable of: • Moving around! • Crossing a hurdle without touching it!

  3. Hurdle? • Wheels won’t cut it here • Although if you are sufficiently clever they probably could, but don’t do it! • So you’ll need to try something else!

  4. Legs are pretty cool

  5. 4 bar linkages are pretty useful

  6. Demo- Mobility • For demo day, we would like you to: • Maneuver through a predetermined course to demonstrate mobility. • Robots capable of sidestepping instead of turning will receive some bonus. • The course is pretty wide (18”), and not too long.

  8. Demo- Hurdle • Cross over the 1” hurdle without touching it. • Hurdles of height 2” and ½” are available for more and less points, respectively. • Robot must start >1” away from hurdle.
