  4. Paper Airplane Exercise • Rules? • First Flight………. • Everyone builds an paper airplane • Goal is to fly the plane • Second Flight…….. • Team members build an airplane with a coach/mentor who gives instructions • Goal is to fly your plane farther than the solo flight

How to Soar in the Role of a TVR • Be creative and look for opportunities to ‘spread the word’ of your role as a TVR • Meetings, gatherings, etc., are a great way to get your name out there as a contact for benefits information • One-to-one discussion with Veterans in your tribe or organization • Collaboration with local VA to present information or have listening posts for your Veterans • Business cards, flyers, newspaper stories of your role

  6. Learn Something New….Then Teach Someone! • There are always changes in points of contact or role designations – expand your POC List to include others who are familiar with benefits or eligibility rules
