  • Students put on actual clothing items as the story is told.
  • Students create an illustration of what I wear in the snow.
  • Students retell the story with a stick puppet and felt clothing. Students dress the puppet with the felt clothing as the story is told. The puppet and clothing can be created from models at www.makinglearningfun.com
  • Create vocabulary cards for retelling the story. The picture/word vocabulary cards can be printed from www.makinglearningfun.com Students sequence the story with the picture/word vocabulary cards.
  • Print out key words on one inch blocks from the website www.makinglearningfun.com Have students place the tiles over the letters to spell the words from the story. Key words: jacket, zipper, scarf, mittens, tears, mother.
