  3. Objectives • Successfully model the steady state process of the regenerator to determine the efficiency of the new design and material • Investigate the complicated heat transfer between fluid and material to produce an effective resistance on a per plate basis

  4. Methodology • Develop a 2-D transient MATLAB model to predict the heat transfer flow path through the plate. • Use this specific model to generalize each plate and fold the results into a larger transient model following the fluid and regenerator temperature nodes through each blow process over time.
