RCF Status • Smooth operation over the course of last week • No reportable incidents of the Mass Storage System (HPSS), the Tape Libraries and the Network • Data received from PHENIX & STAR Counting Houses was safely migrated to Tape • Data flow at medium to high rates from the PHENIX and STAR Counting Houses to RCF • PHENIX & STAR have accumulated ~3180 TB of RAW data since the start of Run12 (320 TB in the last 7 days) • Largest amount of data taken during a run since the start of the RHIC program
Francois, I'm at CERN this week and won't be able to attend today's time meeting in person. Please find attached a few slides pertaining to the RCF status regarding Run12 data taking. As a highlight note that we have passed the 3 Petabyte mark regarding the data volume PHENIX and STAR have taken over the course of Run12. This is unprecedented. – Mike, Thanks, ok, I will insist that this is unprecendent ! Are you planning to have a "fondue" and a glass of "Fendant" in the old Geneva one of these evenings ? Francois -- Yes, Francois, this is a big achievement (by the experiments and the RHIC machine) that MUST be celebrated. Cheers! Michael
