  1. Who should be President? What makes for a good president of our country?

  2. Age • How old should a president be? • According to the Constitution, what is the youngest age a President can be? What is the oldest age? • What are the advantages of being older? Of being younger?

  3. Oldest and youngest U.S. presidents Theodore Roosevelt, at 42, was the youngest. Ronald Reagan was the oldest at 69.

  4. Gender • Should a president be a man or a woman? • Are there any advantages or disadvantages of having a male president? • Are there any advantages or disadvantages of having a female president?

  5. No woman has yet been elected President, although a woman, Geraldine Ferraro, ran for Vice-President.

  6. How much education should a president have? • Elementary school? • High school? • College?

  7. Most Presidents went to college, but nine did not. • Andrew Johnson couldn't read until he was 14; he didn’t learn to write until after he was married.

  8. Marital Status • Should a president be married? • Are there any advantages to being single?

  9. All Presidents were married during their terms except five: Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, James Buchanan and Chester A. Arthur

  10. Children • Should a president have children? • If so, how many?

  11. Presidents have had from one to fifteen children. Jimmy Carter had 1. John Tyler had 15. James Buchanan, Warren G. Harding, Andrew Jackson, James Madison, and George Washington did not have any children.
