MCCC is a nonprofit organization in Rochester NY that offers educational and residential programs for children with complex multiple disabilities including mental retardation, autism, major physical, neurological, sensory, health and complex behavior disorders. The staff of teachers, aides, and clinicians support over 550 children and young adults every year, ranging in age from birth to 21 years old. Mary Cariola Children’s Center

  3. Walking on Sunshine is Mary Cariola's most popular event. Participants collect as many financial pledges as they can, then enjoy a beautiful stroll on the boardwalk through Ontario Beach Park and a scenic return down Beach Avenue. Food, games, face painting, live bands and entertainment all make the day enjoyable for walkers of all ages. Walking On Sunshine Event

  4. I have volunteered to work at and raise donations for this event for the past two years I was able to meet and play with dozens of children and their families from the center I also participated in the walk with my high school varsity cheerleading team, in which we cumulatively raised over $5,000 for the center My involvement

  5. I absolutely loved being a part of this event. Being able to share the experience with my teammates and coaches made it even more special. Getting to know and spend time with children from the center was truly life changing and inspiring- I didn’t stop smiling the whole day! I plan on looking into more volunteer events with Mary Cariola’s Children Center and working with them again in the near future.
