  9. UK / SME Lending - Overview:Why traditional banks may lend less • 10/2014 EU / Bank Stress Tests • 130 Banks “Tested” 25 failed! 34 would have failed under full test! How many almost failed? • EU Stress Tests were “manipulated”, because they did not include tests for “deflationary” economic environments (8 EU states currently have deflation) nor had the fully phased-in EU stress test rules been applied, otherwise the number of failures would have increased to at least 34. SOURCE: Bloomberg • The ECB found EUR€136 billion in additional troubled loans banks that had not already been “confessed” to owning, bringing the European total to EUR€879 billion (USD$1.1 trillion). Italy will have to implement the biggest reclassification of loans (EUR€12 billion), with Greek (EUR€8 billion) and German banks (EUR€7 billion) also challenged. www.prestigefunds.com
