2. By the end of the day you should have the following: • Detailed sketches of at least 3 different ideas for your piece of technology • Each sketch will have a list of pros and cons. • One single idea of what you are going to do with your design. • A list of materials that you will need for your final design project. Please keep materials needed to a minimum.

3. Sketches • You will pick your top 3 ideas to create sketches about. • Fold your paper in half hamburger style and sketch on one side of it. Divide the other side with a drawn line so that you can separate your list of pros and cons. • You will have 3 separate papers with each one containing a different sketch. 4. One single idea • Once you have completed your three sketches you will then pick your favorite that you want to do your project on. • Remember – You will be creating this design in class so it must be something logical, reasonable, simple and cheap.

5. Materials • Once you have chosen your top design you must then figure out what materials you will need for your project. • Make a list on the back of the page you sketched your favorite design on. • Remember that this is still a middle school classroom and I will not bring in lasers, anti gravity items, ice machines, etc. This must be simple materials.

6.
