Visual Approaches for Duplicate Change Request Management: Progress and Future Directions

This report presents the RiSE Group's research on utilizing visual approaches to address the duplicate change request problem. Led by Carlos Eduardo Albuquerque da Cunha and advisors Silvio Romero de Lemos Meira and Eduardo Santana de Almeida, we summarize our achievements including problem characterization, IET software development, and the creation of an early prototype. We reflect on our progress, outlining remaining challenges such as the need for enhanced visual representations in bug reports and preparing for an experimental study to evaluate our solutions.
