  2. 7 (5 seconds) SHOT SIZE: 2-shot, mid-shot MOVEMENT: Harry slams his hand against the wall MISE-EN-SCENE: Harry is open to camera and is in close proximity to Larry , suggesting confidence. His facial expression shows his anger at Larry. Larry looks scared of Harry and puts his hands up to protect himself. He is trapped into a small space by Harry, showing how he is less powerful than Harry SOUND: Dialogue: Harry talking to Larry I used the rule of thirds to suggest that (in particular) Larry is small, insignificant and disposable in a big world. Harry is in centre frame, suggesting that he wants attention CUT:

  3. 8 (3 seconds) SHOT SIZE: Close-up (POV) (Shot-reverse-shot 1) ANGLE: Low angle, canted SOUND: Dialogue: Harry talking to Larry The audience is seeing Harry through Larry’s eyes. A low angle suggests that Larry feels threatened by Harry. The canted angle suggests that Larry does not feel comfortable with the situation at all CUT:

  4. 9 (5 seconds) SHOT SIZE: Over-the-shoulder close-up (Shot-reverse-shot 2) ANGLE: High angle, canted SOUND: Dialogue: Larry talking to Harry This shot is a reaction shot. Because the audience can see the world through Larry’s eyes, they should feel able to sympathise with him and his fear of Harry CUT:

  6. 11 (5 seconds) SHOT SIZE: Over-the-shoulder close-up (Shot-reverse-shot 4) ANGLE: High angle, canted SOUND: Dialogue: Larry talking to Harry As Harry is closer to the camera than Larry, it gives Harry a sense of size and looks as though Harry is towering over Larry. This shows the audience how intimidated by Harry Larry is. The saturation of colour helps intensify the scene. In (Larry’s) POV shots, the audience should feel intimidated by Harry CUT:

  8. 12 (3 seconds) SHOT SIZE: 2-shot, mid-shot MOVEMENT: Harry grabs Larry MISE-EN-SCENE: Larry is lower in shot (to show he is less powerful) than Harry and looks scared. Harry is in close proximity to Larry SOUND: Dialogue: Harry talking to Larry The proximity of the two characters to each other shows their intimacy and helps to build tension.
