  2. EUROMETALis the European federation of steel tubes and metals distribution and trading. The roots of EUROMETAL date back to 1950, when the European Community for Coal and Steel was created by Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. EUROMETALmembers are national federations of steel, metals and tubes distribution as well as distribution and trading companies having cross border activities in different European countries. EUROMETAL will celebrate in 2020 its 70th Anniversary EUROMETAL HISTORY

DIGITALIZATION & INDUSTRY 4.0 ARE KEY CHANGERS IN STEEL DISTRIBUTION & SSC & TRADE • New technologies in Digitalization offer rapid change into market wide connected business, following already introduced trends in B2C (eg Amazon) to B2B named Industry 4.0. • Existing ways of doing business will be optimised; in a more drastic scenario new business models go live and replace traditional rules and corporations. Digitalization challenges tradition • Processing and transforming steel will adopt the new technology platforms presently on the rise in the wake of Industry 4.0. • 3D printing, robotizing, automated material flow logistics will heavily impact the ways steel stockholding distribution and SSC distribution will be using to process and customize long, flats and tubular steel products Industry 4.0 technology becomes key to process steel EUROMETAL DIGITAL FORUM ZÜRICH 13 SEPTEMBER 2019
