  2. Before you convert address Before you convert your address books please see the presentation on Converting your Mail Folders.

  3. Pegasus Before you convert your personal address books it may be helpful to see what they are named. Open Pegasus from your Start menu or by double clicking on the desktop shortcut.

  4. You can view your Pegasus Address Books by clicking on the Open or Manage Address Books button on the toolbar ( ), or by choosing Address Books… from the Addresses menu. Pegasus

  5. Pegasus • Pegasus will give you a list of your address books. • The blue books are system address books and cannot be converted. • The black books are your personal address books and can be converted.

  6. Pegasus To see the file name for the address books, select the (black text) address book on your list, and click the Rename button.

  7. Pegasus Write down the Longname and the Filename. You will want this information for when you perform the address book conversion. Repeat this process for each custom address book. Getting the file names before the conversion is not necessary, but it will aid in understanding what is in each address book when you pull that file into GroupWise.

  8. Patience is a Virtue Virtue is a grace, Grace is a little girl, with dirt on her face… You will one day be upgraded, we promise. If you create any new address books before you are upgraded, be sure to keep track of it’s file name.

  9. UniAccess Once you are upgraded and have converted your mail folders you can: Launch UniAccess from your Start menu, Programs UniAccess

  10. UniAccess This is the first Window for UniAccess. You want to convert your Address Books, click the Next -> button to continue.

  11. UniAccess You want to ConvertFrom:Pegasus 2.0+, and Convert To: Novell NAB, click the Next -> button.

  12. UniAccess You will have to select your Pegasus Addr File.

  13. UniAccess Click the Look in: box and use the scroll bar to find your home directory, usually your (W:) Drive

  14. UniAccess From your (W:) Drive, open the folder called pmail.

  15. UniAccess This will show a list of your personally created address books. Compare these to the files you wrote down from Pegasus. Open the address book you want to convert.

  16. UniAccess UniAccess will place the path to that address book in the blank.

  17. UniAccess Give the address book an appropriate name, but make sure you keep the .NAB at the end of the filename. Then click the Start button. HSC.NAB Use a descriptive name, such as the one you used in Pegasus.

  18. UniAccess Just like the email conversion, UniAccess will go through each item and convert it. The more addresses in this book the longer the process will take.

  19. UniAccess When UniAccess is complete, it will give you a conversion report such as this:

  20. If you need to convert more address books, click the OK button and then click the <-Prev button. UniAccess If you only needed to convert one address book, click the OK button, then click the Exit button and skip ahead to the GroupWise portion of this presentation.

  21. UniAccess Go through the same process as before, click the Select button and open the next address book you wish to convert.

  22. UniAccess When you have finished converting all your address books, click the OK button, and Exit UniAccess.

  23. GroupWise Address Book Open the GroupWise Address Book from your Start menu.

  24. GroupWise In order to import your Pegasus address books into GroupWise we must first make a new address book. From the File menu choose NewBook… (or press Ctrl-N on the keyboard).

  25. GroupWise GroupWise will give you this window you allow you to descriptively name your new Address Book. If you want to have more than one address book, as you did in Pegasus, you will need to create each new book in this same manner.

  26. GroupWise GroupWise will place you instantly into this new address book. Notice the full name appears in the tab. Shorter names will allow you to see more tabs.

  27. GroupWise To bring the Pegasus Address books into this GroupWise Address book, choose Import… from the File menu.

  28. GroupWise Change the Lookin box to be your home directory (W:), and open your pmail folder again.

  29. GroupWise Open the Address Book you want to convert. Notice status bar (bottom left of the address book screen) will show the progress.

  30. GroupWise When the conversion is complete, all of the address will be listed in this new address book.

  31. GroupWise Repeat the process as necessary. 1. Create a new address book. 2. Import the old address book.
