  1. Advanced Microsoft Word 2010

  2. Using Templates On the File tab click New. Click on the type of Template you would like to use (i.e.: Faxes). Click on the specific template you would like to use. Modify the template with your own information.

  3. Add Watermarks, Page Color & Page Borders using the Page Layout Tab Watermarks Change Page Color Add a border

  4. Using Columns

  5. Using Breaks, Line Numbers & Hyphenation

  6. Line & paragraph spacing Change the spacing between lines of text. You can also customize the amount of space added before and after paragraphs.

  7. Insert headers, footers and page numbers into your document

  8. Bulleted, Numbered & Multilevel Lists

  9. Insert the date/time or a signature line using the Insert tab Click on Date & Time Click on Signature

  10. Using FIND 1. Click on “Find” 3. See your results! 2. Type the word you want to find. Using REPLACE 1. Click on “Replace” 2. Fill in the word you need to find and the word you want to replace it with

  11. Insert pictures into your document! 1 Click on the Insert Tab then click on the Picture Icon. 2 Select a picture then click on the Insert button. 3 Your picture is now inserted into your document!

  12. Using Shapes 1. Click on the shape that you want to insert. 2. Click in your document where you want the shape to appear.

  13. Resizing Pictures & Other Objects Click on the small circle, hold down left mouse button and drag to resize your photo.

  14. Wrapping text around pictures and other objects 1. Click on the picture 2. Click on Wrap Text Icon 3. Select the appropriate Text Wrap.
