  4. What is asexual reproduction? • Is the reproduction of an organism without the fusion of gametes (sperm and egg) • Production of a new organism without a 2 party interaction for fertilization

  5. Asexual reproduction • Does not require mating • Little genetic diversity in the reproduction • You usually see this in sessile invertebrates that live in constant environments • You see this form of reproduction in bacteria and other single celled organisms
