Participants should use both the columns and adopt the text formatting exactly as in this template. Two templates are provided (Green background for automotive emission and red background for automotive safety) and participants are advised to select the appropriate format based on their chosen topic. • Maximum 2 authors per poster are allowed and all should be STUDENTS ONLY. Those who passed out in 2010 may also apply. Conference participants will be recommended to visit the poster session and discuss the issues with their authors. • The posters must contain unpublished results on any original academic research on subject related to one of the topics listed above. Methods and results obtained so far must be described in the poster. Performance claim and all conclusions must be supported by test data or validated simulation. Editorial quality must be maintained at highest level and content has to be free from technical errors. Tables, graphs and images (color or black & white) may be included in Poster and each must have a caption and must be numbered consecutively. Font 36 pt should be used in captions. • All the received draft posters will be evaluated by a group of experts based on which selected teams will be invited to ARAI for qualifying presentation round. Three teams in each category will be shortlisted after the qualifying round, which will then submit the final corrected poster, to be printed by the organizer. • Participants are required to bring a duly attested copy of the provided certificate on their college/institute’s official letter-head when they come for qualification round. THE DECLARED PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AUTHOR IN THIS CERTIFICATE CANNOT BE CHANGED AT A LATER STAGE. • The draft poster should be submitted in MS POWERPOINT format (.ppt) using an e-mail attachment to siat2011@araiindia.com. Dead line for submission of draft posters is the 15th November, 2010. • Students will be provided with the Poster Stand at the venue and are required to present a 7 minute synopsis of their poster which should include at least the following sections: Introduction, objectives, methodology, results and conclusions followed by a short discussion of 3 minutes. Judging will be based on the overall quality of the poster, the student’s ability to effectively summarize the work and the quality & clarity of answers to judges’ questions.
