What does it mean? • Cross-sectional Studies is a either a group of people or individuals that are observed either before or after a time period. • The definition that was given about cross-sectional studies was information that is collected about individuals at a specific point in time that is cheap and quick to look at. This is used a lot in the medical field to figure out to understand diseases using past issues.

  3. Examples • Students that don’t sleep and students that sleep, does that affect their grades? • Looking at breast cancer in the population. Different ages, ethnicities, and social backgrounds
