  5. Reverie a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream : a knock on the door broke her reverie

  6. Soliloquy—an act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers, esp. by a character in a play. Peremptory--insisting on immediate attention or obedience, esp. in a brusquely imperious way : “Just do it!” came the peremptory reply.

  7. Changes: Chp. 17 What has occurred in Godfrey and Nancy’s lives over the last 16 years? How have they changed as a result?

  8. indignation: anger or annoyance provoked by what is perceived as unfair treatment beholden: owing thanks or having a duty to someone in return for help or a service. E.g. He didn't like to be beholden to anybody.
