  2. Table 1. Results from ANOVA

  3. Gender influence • Gender influencesrealistic, investigative, artistic, and social types.

  4. Age influence • Age influences artistic, social and enterprising types.

  5. National origin • National origin is a factor influencing all types.

  6. Age and national origin • The interaction between age and national origin influences the realistic type.

  7. Age and national origin • The same tendency is evident in the interaction between age and national origin in connection to the enterprising type.

  8. Age and national origin • As far as the conventional type is concerned, the interaction between age and national origin is most strongly increased in the Bulgarian sample, followed by the Rumanian one. In the Turkish sample, there is no significant age change in the orientation to traditional type activities.

  9. Gender and age • The interaction between gender and age confirms the increasing significance of occupations which are associated with the conventional type.

  10. Gender and national origin • The same tendency is observed in the interaction between gender and national origin in respect to the social type. Females score higher.

  11. SUMMARY • National origin influences all six personality types. • The investigative type is the most constant one with the least variations. • The artistic and the social types accrue the most variations. This could be expected as the attitudes to occupations that are associated with them change substantially with age.
